The Jingzi lamp was inspired by the organic form of a hanging droplet and resulted from the design process for the lighting and hanging plants of the Kunsthalle Café at Fünf Höfe, Five Courtyards for the Munich City Centre, completed in 2003.       

To achieve such a natural, suspended shape the material silicone was explored for its fluid properties, the thickness of the sleeve holding the suspended form through gravity. The materiality of the silicone is expressed in its raw state, trapped air bubbles diffusing a gentle light in all directions. Soft, tactile and malleable, each silicone lamp sleeve is unique and handmade. The latest edition is now available in LED, with three different lengths.
